About Us

Stylish Accommodations in the Heart of Byward Market

The Keon Hotel opened in 2025, with six oversize, stylishly one-of-a-kind rooms, located in Ottawa's historic ByWard Market neighbourhood, at the center of the city's best food, entertainment, sightseeing, and shopping.

The Keon Hotel provides a truly unique Ottawa hotel experience. Each oversize room features custom furnishings, premium linens, big screen TV, comfortable seating - a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. With vibrant decor and unique touches throughout, your stay promises to be both relaxing and memorable.

As a substantial renovation of the building in which we are located, The Keon Hotel is an example, and hopefully an inspiration to others, for the kind of cyclical urban renewal that makes historic neighbourhoods like the ByWard Market such great places to spend time.

There is actually a history of 4 or 5 Keon hotels operated by grandparents, great-uncles/aunts, and uncles/aunts/cousins of Ottawa's Keon family, 19th-century Irish Catholic immigrants, who settled in Ottawa Valley communities located along both the Quebec and Ontario sides of the Ottawa River. We will add a bit of that story to our website soon (we just have to finish researching it first, lol).
